The Foundation Everything Depends On

New Construction

You need a licensed electrician involved from rough-in through finish. We work directly with builders and general contractors throughout York County, coordinating on panel location, service entry, and circuit runs before walls close.

Full Renovation

Gutting a kitchen, finishing a basement, or converting a barn means walls are open — the time to address wiring is now. We identify what needs replacing and what can stay, and give you a clear scope before the walls close.

Rewiring an Older Maine Home

Homes built before 1970 throughout York County were wired for a fraction of the load modern households use. Knob-and-tube wiring, aluminum branch circuits, and undersized panels create real fire and safety risks. We assess the full scope and execute in phases if needed.

Complete Wiring Scope

1

Service Entry & Panel

We size and install the main service entry, coordinate with CMP for connection, and install the main panel. Most new builds go to 200A service minimum.

2

Circuit Design

We lay out circuits for every room to code — kitchen, bathroom GFCI, bedroom, outdoor, and dedicated circuits for high-draw appliances. Every circuit is mapped and labeled.

3

Rough-In Wiring

All wiring run before walls close. Every box placed, every wire pulled, every connection made to code and ready for inspection.

4

Finish Work

Outlets, switches, covers, fixture boxes, and panel connections completed after drywall. Smoke and CO detectors installed to current Maine code.

5

Permits & Inspections

We pull all required permits, schedule inspections, and see the project through approval. You don't coordinate with the inspector — we do.

6

Code Compliance

Maine has adopted the NEC with state amendments. We know what York County inspectors look for and what gets flagged.

Signs Your Home Needs Rewiring

  • Breakers that trip repeatedly without a clear reason
  • Outlets that are warm to the touch or show scorch marks
  • Flickering or dimming lights when appliances run
  • Two-prong ungrounded outlets throughout the home
  • A fuse box instead of a breaker panel
  • Insurance company requiring an electrical inspection
  • Home inspector flagging wiring during a sale
  • Any visible knob-and-tube wiring in attic or basement

None of these are cosmetic issues. All of them indicate a system that needs evaluation by a licensed electrician before they become larger problems.
